What kind of value system keeps our thinking buoyant? If we sink into a recession like an economic depression what can we focus our hopes and dreams into? It seems like our value system is suffering some kind of terminal decline and everything associated with it is oxidising or something, there are serious implications that could come with this, for without the prospect of becoming affluent, the value system could really go into decline as belief in it sinks with expectation. Capital aquisition is a motivating force what will take its place? Maybe there could be a renaissance in artistic values, philosophical debate and the like but it could only happen if people started to take seriously the idea that positive change can come from positive endeadour or something like this.

Here starts the tape noise diary of what seems to be going on, I reckon that if ever distortion was an important topic then now is its heyday, this is my particular interest and this is what this diary will focus on, using music as its metaphor, the connections and processes that constitute the rapid rapport of rationality, like a huge tape machine spinning and stretching the tapes of wrath, this is what this whole website is about of course -my selfish -interests and concerns, paranoid poetical politikill peace of mind, embrace technology to tap out a tribal rhythm on your 808, there is some kind of deeply disturbing fusion of all things going on -like a fundamental mix of genres, science, new age, religion, crack pot polemic all blended and filtered through a band pass media, with added commercial resonance further enhancing certain frequencies, at the expense of someone somewhere, zero point field theory threads of coincidence and incidence tripping up the idealistic.

My theory is that you can take any manufactured item now and extrapolate it into an analytical breakdown on the state of things, I'm interested in the evolution of electronic musical instruments so I subject their sound creating possibilities to a kind of archaeological process of scrutiny, thus I will refer to certain icons of sound production in a fairly random way to try and illustrate points of view. There is a kind of reverence extended towards these machines similar to the great texts of our era, we treat them like holy grails and sacred arp odysseys, they have a kind of symbolic significance like tribal relics. I would say that its some kind of reaction to the philosophical crises that we find ourself in, where politics has lost its way and it really needs to return to its philosophical roots.
